However, every precious second that he is home is devoted to our son Jack. And when he is gone, he makes sure that he's still there for Jack by taping video messages that I play over and over again. He also had an infection inside his abdomon and was hooked up to IV antibiotics for a month. It was a long long year He is a father to 7 and Poppa to 18 and I feel he really desreves this great gift. My husband waked into a ready made family and has gained the respect and love of both myself and my two children. He has never treated my children any differently than if they were his own. And has always been accepting and loving. He is definitely a man of patience.
His most favorite cookie is molasses cookies on which he loves to put cream cheese icing. And I would Love to be able to give this to him for all that he does for us.

said...: My fiance is an electrician and their company has just started working 10 hour shifts 6 days a week so they can get a job done by August. He wakes up at 5 AM so he can be on the road at 6.

When he gets home at 6 in the evening, he's totally exhausted and worn out, but he understands that I'm tired too from looking after our two children. He takes them upstairs for a little while so I can get some me time and he helps me clean up a little bit before he has to go to sleep to get up early again the next morning. I drove semi trucks over the road and did not have a life and I met this wonderful lady who had 2 daughters and one son. Her and I got married and had 35 wonderful years together "my kids" were so good to me and treat me like their real dad. My son died in 2005 from MS, my darling wife died in Jan of 2008 from a stroke and my one daughter died in Oct of 2008 from cancer, so all I have left is my daughter Nancy and she is my life.
